Amy Winehouse’s recent £35,000 boob job has received a positive response – from her own dad.

Mitch Winehouse was left red-faced after he inadvertently praised his daughter’s breasts during an appearance on This Morning on Wednesday.

"Her boobs are great!" he said. "I shouldn’t have said that, should I?"

Realising he had made a mistake, Mitch went on to pay tribute to the singer’s successful battle against drug addiction.

"She looks absolutely fantastic, she’s doing great,” he said.

“To look back to how she was last year, we’re on a different planet, a different space, a different time, and a different person – we all are. She’s fantastic.”

Earlier this week Amy’s father revealed she had been drug-free for a year as he spoke to MPs about the rehabilitation services available to heroin addicts.

by Jason Gregory on October 22nd, 2009

Chris Brown has revealed he spends every second regretting his violent attack on former girlfriend Rihanna.

The US R&B star pleaded guilty in June to assaulting the singer and was given five years’ probation.

In an interview on US radio station Hot 97, Brown again expressed his sadness over the incident in February.

He said: “People make mistakes all the time. I’m learning from my mistakes everyday and I regret it every second."

The singer, who is currently preparing to launch his comeback with a new album, also revealed that Will Smith had offered him advice after the attack.

"As a young black man myself, I need older black male role models to step in and kind of mould me – not people bashing me, ’cause that’s not how you learn from mistakes," he said.

Brown refused to speak in detail about the incident in February, which reportedly left Rihanna with bruising to her face.

Meanwhile, Rihanna revealed this week that she plans to release a new album, entitled ‘Rated R’, in November.

Brown will also embark on a US tour in November, with a portion of ticket sales going to a domestic-violence intervention organisation.

BET Awards held in Los Angeles

The BET Awards were dominated by Michael Jackson last night as stars, including his sister Janet, paid tribute to the musician.

The awards ceremony in Los Angeles were transformed at short notice to pay homage to Jackson following his death last Thursday.

The star’s father, Joseph, joined the likes of Kanye West and Beyonce at the event, but it was Janet Jackson who appeared on stage to speak about her brother.

“My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful, and they elected me to speak to all of you,” she told the crowd.

“To you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts.

“On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all of your love, and thank you for all of your support. We miss him so much. Thank you so much.”

The timing of the ceremony meant the BET awards, which had yet to honour Jackson during his life, was the first Hollywood event to pay tribute to him in his death.

Jackson tributes

Host Jamie Foxx performed three times at the event, including a closer cover of ‘I’ll Be There’ alongside R&B star Ne-Yo.

“No need to be sad. We want to celebrate this black man … We gonna go through all of Michael Jackson,” he said.

Ciara, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z, who debuted new song ‘Death of Auto-Tune’, also performed live.

Lil’ Wayne was also among the winners at the BET Awards and was one of many artists who honoured Jackson in their acceptance speech.

‘Concerns’

Jackson died following a suspected cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.

Before the ceremony, Jackson’s father raised questioned about his death, telling reporters that he had “a lot of concerns”.

The Jackson family has called for a second and independent autopsy into the singer’s death after the first ruled out foul play or external trauma.

Focus shifted to Jackson’s private life – and the extent of his alleged addiction to painkillers – within hours of his death.

Amy Winehouse ‘To Release Greeting Cards, Rehab Wrapping Paper’

by Jason Gregory on June 25th, 2009

Amy Winehouse’s record label are to release greeting cards and wrapping paper inspired by the star, it’s been reported.

The new range, all named after Winehouse’s biggest hits, includes ‘Rehab’ wrapping paper and two sombre greetings cards.

The ‘You Know I’m No Good’ card can be used for apologies, while the ‘Back To Black’ is for bereavement, it’s been claimed.

Jonathan Channon, EMI Music Publishing Europe vice president, told The Sun newspaper the idea was part of the record label’s drive to create innovative revenue streams.

The wrapping paper and greeting cards had already received a “very positive response” with major retailers, he said, adding: “These are songs which already have a great resonance with the public.”

A source told the newspaper that the ‘Rehab’ wrapping paper would be “emblazoned” with lyrics from the hit.

It is not known when the new range will be released.

Winehouse is currently in St Lucia working on the follow-up to her 2006 album ‘Back To Black’.
