Tiger Woods is making a comeback this April in Augusta for the Masters Tournament.

After he announced he will be taking an 'indefinite break', we can only assume that he's had a chance of heart as the golfer says he will be returning after just five months.

He said in a statement: "The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect.

After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta."

The sportsman also went on to mention his troubled personal situation: "I have undergone almost two months of inpatient therapy and I am continuing my treatment. Although I'm returning to competition, I stil have a lot of work to do in my personal life."

But Tiger Woods was careful not to mention his wife, Elin Nordegren. However, recent pictures suggest that there's a chance that she may be there to cheer him on.

It is thought that the move was encouraged by high powers at the Masters, who are hoping for bigger TV ratings and a higher ticket demand with Tiger back on course.

The chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, Billy Payne said: "We support Tiger’s decision to return to competitive golf beginning at this year's Masters Tournament.

"Additionally, we support and encourage his stated commitment to continue the significant work required to rebuild his personal and professional life."
