The rapper is being targeted by the festival's organisers to headline this year's 40th anniversary celebration.

Michael Eavis has confirmed to The Sun that his daughter, Emily, who organises the event and who was behind the Jay-Z booking, has her sights on the hip-hop rapper.

Snoop Dogg has only just been allowed to apply for a UK visa after a four-year ban.

Michael Eavis told the paper: "She's a bright girl and she is very keen on Snoop Dogg doing the show, so we want him."
