Eddie Murphy has denied rumours that he has bought an entire island in the Bahamas, saying tour guides have got it wrong.

Tourists in the area have been told for several years that the Dreamgirls actor owns an island, but Eddie says they have been given false information. "If you do take one of those boat tours... they always tell people, 'And that island is Eddie Murphy's right there'. And people always go, 'I saw your island!' I don't have no island."

While he may not currently own an island, Eddie will probably buy one after a successful box office opening of his new movie Tower Heist which is expected to rake in millions when it opens this weekend in the UK.
