Oprah Winfrey has called it quits and settled with Nomvuyo Mzamane.
Mzamane accused Oprah of making it impossible for her to find employment after Winfrey's comments at a press conference which were made about a sex-abuse scandal at Oprah's school in South Africa.
Winfrey's defended herself by claiming freedom of speech. But, to avoid a long legal battle, the TV star brought the case to a close.
Lawyers from both sides have announced a deal which said that Winfrey confirmed that "she did not intend the implications placed on her words by the plaintiff."
The joint statement also stated: "The two parties met woman to woman without their lawyers and are happy that they could resolve this dispute peacefully to their mutual satisfication."
There was not statement regarding any financial settlement.
What do you think? Do you think Oprah held her ground or do you think she had to pay through the nose for this to go away?
