Dr Dre has revealed that he is to take a break from music, meaning that his long-awaited Detox album is delayed yet again.
The legendary west coast rapper and producer has been working on what has been dubbed as his final studio album, for the last ten years. The album has been talked about increasingly in recent months, with Snoop Dogg and Game revealing that they feature on the record.
However, it seems fans will have to wait a little longer to hear any of their work because Dre has announced that he is to take a break from music. "I'm gonna just wrap it up for a minute because I've been working on music for 27 years now and the longest I've ever been out of the studio in 27 years has been two weeks," he told FADER TV.
"I'm never gonna stop music. It's like air to me. I'm gonna take a little bit of a break, enjoy some time with the family, until I get that itch to get back in," he added.
Dre will be working on promoting his new artists Kendrick Lamar and Slim the Mobster.
