Conrad Murray has reportedly "lost the will to live" and is on suicide watch in a Los Angeles jail.
The doctor was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson last Monday, and he is reportedly having a difficult time adjusting to life on the inside. Conrad is being held at the Los Angeles County Jail medical ward and TMZ reports that he has been telling his visitors that he has "lost the will to live."
Almost immediately after Conrad was convicted and sent to jail, reports emerged that he was under suicide watch but officials denied this saying that he was in the medical ward as there is more security.
However, sources close to the doctor say that he is in the ward so that they can keep a close eye on him. L.A. county sheriff Department spokesperson Steve Whitman refused to specify why Conrad is being held in the medical ward, telling the website: "A person's medical or mental health status in the Los Angeles County Jail is protected under the law."
Conrad will be sentenced on November 29.
