The battle between Usher and his ex-wife Tameka Foster has reached new levels, with the mother-of-two claiming that the singer is addicted to drugs.

It emerged earlier this week that Tameka had filed legal papers against Usher, asking to strip him of joint custody of their two sons Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely. The documents stated that Usher had broken several terms of their custody agreement, including taking the children out of the country without permission and failing to make childcare payments.

Now, according to Global Grind, Tameka has blamed Usher's unacceptable behaviour on an addiction to drugs. "I dated him when he's had a very serious throat condition and he still performs like a champ," she said.

"I really feel strongly that something was going on there and it wasn't 'Oh I have laryngitis,'" she added.

Tameka has reportedly asked Usher to take a drugs test but he has apparently refused.
