Legendary producer DJ Premier has confirmed a long-rumoured collaboration album between he and fellow New Yorker Nas is still on the cards.
Premo has already been working behind the boards for Nas' upcoming LP Life Is Good. In a recent interview with Hard Knock Life TV, the turntablist revealed talks for a duet project have resumed:
"I submitted some tracks, so hopefully those will work, but if not, we’re still going to do the Nas/Premier album."
"He has other albums that come before, but we’re still going to do it, we’ve spoken about it."
Premier and Nas have been long-time musical partners but, despite rumours circulating since at l least 2006, an official team project has never been put out.
What do you think - would a nasty Nasty/Premo album be a Watch the Throne-beater?
