Dionne Bromfield says that she will never get over the death of her godmother Amy Winehouse, and recalls the moment when she found out the singer had passed.
15-year-old Dionne was extremely close to Amy who mentored the youngster throughout the beginning of her career, and even supported her on stage at the iTunes festival just two days before she died.
Now, Dionne recalls what it was like finding out that she had passed. "It was definitely a shock – no one expected it at all. Twenty-seven, that’s a baby these days " she told Look magazine.
Dionne also spoke about performing a tribute to Amy at this year's MOBO Awards, saying: "When I was at the Mobo awards, I thought, “I shouldn’t be stood on this stage”,’ she told Look magazine. ‘It will never feel real – she’s always going to be there."
Amy tragically passed away in July due to a misadventure of alcohol.
