Oprah Winfrey has blasted Kim Kardashian for using her trip to Haiti to carry out humanitarian work as a means of boosting her popularity.

Kim has suffered intense backlash over the last couple of months since announcing her divorce from Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage. The 31-year-old has been in the poverty-stricken country since the beginning of the week, but many have been critical of her attempts to help those less advantaged.

Now, the National Enquirer reports that Oprah - who is also on the trip - has slammed Kim for using the trip to generate a good public image of herself. The publication even claims that Kim has bad mouthed the locals and has spent time pampering herself in her hotel room while Oprah sticks it out with the poor.

It was reported earlier this week that Kim and the rest of her family's popularity has declined so much that they are failing to shift copies of weekly magazines that they cover.
