The president of popular TV network E! has defended the channel's decision to keep the Kardashian family's several reality shows on air, saying that people still have an interest in them.
The Kardashian's have received intense backlash in recent months, following Kim's announcement that she is divorcing husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage. E!'s president Suzanne Kolb says that despite the backlash, the family are as popular as ever.
"People aspire to be them or to befriend them," she told The Wrap. "If you actually look at the history of television, there’s a pretty large number of families with that blend resonating with viewers. This just happens to be the first reality show that does it."
Suzanne goes on to desribe the family as "an incredibly bonded, loving, large family who live an incredibly large life," and says they could be on the air for the next few years to come. "We take every viewer comment seriously, but no. We did not consider not to be in business with the Kardashians," says.
