Akon has filed a lawsuit against his former business associates over a fragrance, according to reports.

The suit states that the rapper alleges that his ex-business partners used his name for a new perfume without his permission, states the New York Daily News.

The 'Lonely' singer reportedly was trying to create his own scent. He then discovered that his partners formed Konvict Cosmetics International and began selling the fragrance Konvict without his permission, according to the suit.

Akon is demanding that the company stops the production of the scent.
