Lupe Fiasco is involved in a tug of war with his record company over the release of his new album.
In an interview with AOL’s The Boombox, the 29-year-old's next project Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album to be released via Atlantic Records, is in a state of limbo adding, “the Lupe [Fiasco's Food & Liquor II] album is [coming out] hopefully…it's not on me.”
“It's not done yet. I'm waiting on my record company, ain't nothing changed. Same business, it's on them.”
The ‘The Show Goes On’ star was caught up in similar situation prior to the release of his third album Lasers, which Atlantic repeatedly delayed forcing fans to sign a petition demanding the release of the LP which finally saw release in March 2011.
