Nicki Minaj has overtaken Eminem to become the most followed rapper on Twitter.

Young Money's First Lady has amassed an incredible 8.19 million followers on the social networking site, while Eminem follows closely behind 8.17 million.

Despite only sending 175 tweets, Em has gained an impressive following even surpassing the likes of Lil Wayne and Kanye West who frequently tweet. 

Justin Bieber recently made headlines for becoming the most followed celebrity by passing the 10 million mark, but now has more than 16 million followers.
