Lupe Fiasco has announced a collaborative project with Neptunes super-producer Pharrell Williams in is the pipeline.
The 29-year-old Chicago emcee revealed the news in a brief statement posted on his official website yesterday, along with advance notice of a sequel to his 2006 album Food & Liquor.
The new project could potentially be a replacement for Child Rebel Soldier, the rap super-group comprised of Lupe, Pharrell and Kanye West which has been on indefinite hiatus since 2007 despite announcing intentions to release a full-length record.
In a recent interview with Rap-Up TV, Lupe pledged to take his next solo studio project in a new direction, insisting: "I'm not going to make the same mistake that I did with [his poorly-received third album] Lasers."
