Solange Knowles launched a tirade on Twitter yesterday, blasting those who have made up false rumours about her superstar sister Beyonce.

Since giving birth to Blue Ivy last Saturday, Beyonce has been plagued with a mountain of rumours surrounding her hospital visit. Initial reports suggested that she had a c-section, while others alleged that she paid $1.3 million to redecorate the delivery room.

While the family have kept quiet for the most part, Solange clearly felt she had to defend her sister and took to Twitter to set the record straight. "It has really gotten out of hand. I've been doing my best at keeping my mouth shut....but the ignorance is really sad and upsetting," her rant began.

"We are supposed to be super human and watch people we love get slandered, lied on, and ridiculed. It is one of THE hardest things to accept. In any other workplace... if someone directly tells your mother or sister is a liar and a fake ect...you would naturally express yourself."

Alluding to the birth of Blue, Solange added: "However, the pure happiness and joy I've witnessed and experienced helps me to keep my mouth shut."
