Jermaine Dupri has finally shaken the IRS off his back by settling up the $493,000 tax bill that has been hanging over him for the past five years.

The So So Def mogul was found to owe back taxes dating to 2007 totalling $254,782.64. However, over the years rising interest and adminstration charges mean the total amount Dupri was forced to pay nearly doubled, say TMZ.

39-year-old Dupri hit the headlines back in 2002 when his home was raided by federal agents who took cars, furniture and electronic equipment in an attempt to recover some of the $2.5m he owed to the IRS.
