Reports have surfaced today Jay-Z and Beyonce are literally ready for 'Lift Off' as music industry executives rush to make them the first artists to record a music video in space.
Label heads have reportedly been in contact with billionaire Richard Branson to shoot visuals during a flight on his Virgin Galatic space tourism venture, which is ready to launch at the end of the year.
According to The Sun, the plan is to film something during the six minutes passengers will experience weightlessness after leaving Earth's atmosphere. A source told the paper: "The label people have been talking about making a music video in space. Beyonce and Jay-Z seemed the obvious option. Everything is being done to make it happen."
The 3.5 hour flights on Virgin Galatic's service are thought to cost $200,000 each, with passengers travelling 70,000ft into the skies.
So Beyonce wasn't lying when she said 'We gon' take it to the moon, take it to the stars' on Watch the Throne!
