The ring given to Halle Berry by Olivier Martinez was actually a gift and not an engagement ring, ending speculation that he had proposed.

The actress was seen sporting a gold and emerald ring on her wedding finger and rumours quickly began mounting that she was engaged to her boyfriend of almost two years. A close friend of the couple even came forward earlier this week to claim that the pair have plans to have children after the wedding.

However, the man who sold the ring to Olivier says that the jewellery was a gift and not an engagement ring. Gurhan told TMZ that the couple are in a "committed relationship" and that while marriage "could be on the cards" in the future, they currently have no plans to walk down the aisle.
