LL Cool J has been confirmed as the host of the 54th Annual Grammy awards next month, making him the first person to host the ceremony in seven years.
The rapper - who has won a Grammy award twice - hosted the Grammy Award Nominations ceremony since it began in 2008, but he will also front music's biggest event of the year in February. "I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night," he said upon bagging the coveted role.
"I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true. Great performances and great music — it's gonna be a great night!"
The Grammys will be taking place on February 12 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
