Swizz Beatz is not the CEO of Megaupload and is not being pursued by the FBI after the company was shut down, contrary to other reports.
The hip-hop producer was unveiled as the new secret partner in the file sharing company, and was reportedly the head honcho behind the 'Mega Song' which featured appearances from some of the biggest names in entertainment including Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, P. Diddy and will.i.am.
However, Forbes reports that Swizz's real name Kasseem Dean, does not appear on any of the documents filed by the U.S. Department Of Justice. In fact, Kim Dotcom was named as the owner of 68% of the company.
Swizz may have been given a smaller piece of the company, although it is not on the books.
The producer is yet to comment on the situation.
