Ashanti was reportedly flirting with Jay-Z this week at the re-opening of his Manhattan club 40/40.

The singer looked smoking hot on the night wearing a revealing dress, but if sources are right, she was trying to impress Jiggaman while Beyonce was away. Sources allegedly told MediaTakeOut that Ashanti was seen by Jay's side all night and laughed at everything he said.

"It was embarrassing, [Jay z] was there mingling with people and Ashanti was standing right there like they were together," the eyewitness said.

"[Jay ] was loving it though, he was all smiles . . . I don't think I ever saw him smile that much and that hard. She was sitting at [Jay Zs] table, laughing at everything he said and he was the same with her. I wanted to go over there and check that [chick] for Beyonce."

Ashanti may have been buttering Jay up as the two are said to be working on a track together.
