Ashanti has ended her feud with former Murder Inc. labelmate Ja Rule, after years of not speaking to each other.
The two were extremely close in the early 00's, when they featured on each other's music, and they were even rumoured to be dating in their hey-day.
However, the pair grew apart for unknown reasons, and there was a lot of bad blood between them. Ashanti now reveals that they managed to sort out their differences before Rule began his four-year prison stint last year.
"We had a three-and-a-half hour conversation and we just hashed out years and years and years of stuff," Ashanti said on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.
"That’s my brother. I love him and I hope he’s doing well. I think he’s in good spirits. We’ve all been through a lot. We’ve all grown. We’ve all learned."
"We were all young starting out in the industry. We hashed out a lot of stuff and we needed that," she added.
Ashanti is currently working on her next studio album under her own label Written Entertainment, and has even enlisted Busta Rhymes to feature on a track.
