Young Money signee Tyga has controversially hit out at critics questioning the standard of his lyricism, claiming current rap fans can't relate to emcees "stuck in their ways" and using "big-ass words."

Speaking to Complex magazine the 22-year-old responded to jibes about his sophomoric rhymes on hits like 'Rack City,' and says he is simply making music to party to.

"If it was lyrical, with big-ass words and s**t, do you think half the world could relate to that? No, they can’t. When I’m drunk, I’m not reciting any real difficult s**t," said the Compton native.

"I don’t want to hear s**t like that when I’m drunk. I want to party. I want to have fun. People have got to understand that there’s music for every type of thing. Hip Hop isn’t 'It has to be this topic and this topic only. Struggling, talking about drugs and the streets only.' That’s not Hip Hop. That’s not music."

He added: "Those are just motherf***ers who are stuck in their ways. If you don’t like the song, turn off the TV and turn off the radio and listen to your preference of music."

Universal Records recently confirmed Tyga's upcoming album Careless World: Rise of the Last King is due for release on February 21st.
