After a three-year break, John Legend is ready to get back into the studio and produce a follow-up to his third album, Evolver.

The album's first single 'Tonight (Best You've Ever Had),' which is out today, features a guest verse from Ludacris and will be part of the soundtrack to upcoming romantic comedy film Think Like a Man.

"We’ll be putting out a new single this week. ‘Tonight (Best You Ever Had)’ – Me feat. @Ludacris. Look for it on Monday!” said Legend on Twitter last week. “The single will be on my upcoming album (unless y’all hate it!), but it’s coming out on the ‘Act Like a Lady…’ soundtrack also…"

The 33-year-old's last project was Wake Up!, a critically acclaimed collaboration with The Roots and he is also rumoured to be involved in G.O.O.D. Music's forthcoming compilation.

Legend got engaged to his long-term girlfriend Chrissy Tiegen in December last year, after proposing during the Christmas holiday.
