He started his career as a wheelchair-bound teen on Degrassi: The Next Generation, and now Drake has revealed he wants to return to acting, with his ideal role being Obama.
“I really want to do something a movie specifically for my culture, the younger people that are still in tune with everything going on” said Drake to VH1 News.
"I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama's life soon because I could play him. That's the goal. I watch all the addresses. Anytime I see him on TV, I don't change the channel, I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I'm pretty good at impressions."
But, the ‘Over’ singer admitted the quality of the scripts he gets sent haven’t quite matched up to his dreams.
"I've been reading different scripts but I've just been getting the typical projects that they'd offer to a new rapper, and it's like, ehh. That's not really what I want to do. I don't want to do the basketball movie that everyone does. I don't want to do the typical black film that everyone expects. I want something that's not a rapper or a basketball player, which is all the scripts that I get.”
