Ashley Walters has revealed that he is not afraid to cry and show emotions, despite often portraying a hard image.
The former So Solid Crew member had a tough upbringing and was sent to a young offenders' institution in 2002 when he was found in possession of a firearm. However, Ashley says he has no problems showing his emotions and has even encouraged his four young sons to do the same.
"I grew up having to be hard and trying to fit in with everyone else," he said according to Belfast Telegraph.
"I've taught my boys that being a man is not about being hard. Men can cry, men can feel emotions just like women do. I'm not trying to say I'm hard as nails, I'm not. I'm scared of spiders and wasps, and I am quite a sensitive guy to be honest."
Ashley recently starred in hit Channel 4 series Top Boy and can now be seen in Inside Men which starts on BBC One on Thursday.
