Machine Gun Kelly was arrested on Sunday after getting into a brawl with a fellow drinker and was made to spend the night in jail.

The rapper - who was signed to Interscope Records by P. Diddy last year - was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanour disorderly conduct after getting into a fight with a reveller after a gig in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Kelly, real name Richard Baker, got into a fight with the unknown person after they threw a drink on him. According to TMZ, he was then taken to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office before being released several hours later after posting bail of £63.

"Just spent my entire night in a fu**ing Florida jail...s**t escaladed way to quick last night, it always does with us though. Thanking God that only half of us went to jail, that @216XPLOSIVE is outta the hospital, and that we get to go back to Cleveland today."

"The weirdest part of it was how many inmates in there knew who I was and knew about the movement. It was some trippy s**t. Lace the F**K up."
