Canadian emcee Drake paid tribute to Canada's favourite pasttime on Sunday when he performed latest single 'Headlines' during the halftime show at the NHL All-Star Game in Ottawa, Ontario.
Young Money's Grammy-nominated star rocked a custom-made NHL jersey for the performance, displaying some Canadian pride before launching into the song.
"If you're pround to be Canadian tonight, I wanna hear you make some noise," announced the 26-year-old, adding "I grew up on the sport that we are here celebrating this evening, and this is one of the greatest honours I have ever received."
Later on in the night the Toronto-born lyricist took to Twitter to describe his excitement, saying "Thanks to everybody at NHL for an amazing night! All the players that showed love and all the fans! I got Gino's [Pittsburgh Penguins star hockey centre Evgeni Malkin] game stick!!!!!"
Drake is currently working with his October's Very Own affiliate The Weeknd as the pair cut a video for the R&B singer's mixtape track The Zone.
