Slim the Mobster has let slip his legendary mentor Dr. Dre is in the studio with Lil Wayne preparing something for the long-awaited Detox album.

The internet was flooded with speculation as to what the two rap heavyweights could be cooking up last night after Slim posted an intriguing message to his Twitter account.

"Just got off the phone with @drdre told me he gettin it in with lil wayne tonight...#detox," tweeted L.A.-based rapper Slim.

The normally reclusive Dre has been spotted or referred to increasingly frequently this month, recently being pictured with Rick Ross and yesterday with Pharrell and Snoop Dogg. Whether they'll all feature by the time Detox finally drops remains to be seen.

Slim the Mobster, one of two rappers along with Kendrick Lemar who Dr. Dre is grooming for success through Aftermath, is preparing his own album for release this year, tentatively titled The Movie.
