Drake has apologised to Vanessa Bryant for firing shots at her in his verse on Rick Ross' Stay Schemin'.
The 'Headlines' rapper used his 16 bars to diss Vanessa for taking $75 million and three mansions from Kobe in their divorce settlement. Drizzy claimed that Vanessa made no direct contribution to Kobe's basketball career, therefore did not deserve to gain so much.
"Kobe bout to lose 150 M's. Kobe my n*gga. I hate it had to be him. B*tch, you wasn't wit me shootin in the gym," Drizzy raps.
However, the Canadian emcee has had a change of heart and now says he wasn't referring to Vanessa's situation despite quoting her name.
"That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all," he told Nah Right.
"I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else. That line had everything to do with me and what goes on in my head as a 25-year-old man with this much income flowing in. Kobe is and always will be a friend and an icon to me."
As everyone knows, Drizzy also dissed Common on the track, whom he labelled an attention-seeker for starting the feud to sell records.
Was Drake right to apologise or should he have stuck to his guns?
The Common and Drake beef: a photo timeline...
The first signs of a beef on the horizon come after the release of 'Sweet', the thumping third single from Common's new album The Dreamer/The Believer. Some of the tracks bars, including "Singing all around me man, la la la/ You aint motherf**king Frank Sinatra," raised a few eyebrows (Photo: HRC/WENN.com)
