Jennifer Lopez says that ex-husband Marc Anthony will always be a part of her life as they have children together.

The American Idol judge and the singer announced their split in July 2011 and reports emerged shortly after that they had been having blazing rows.

However, it seems the claims couldn't be further from the truth as the pair have been promoting their new show Q'Viva: The Chosen! and appear to be getting along fine.

"Marc and I were friends before we got married. We were friends for years, and we always loved each other," she told the Today show.

"And we always worked together, so it wasn't an unnatural thing for us to continue working together. And, obviously, we have children together, so it's not going to be like he's not in my life. He's always going to be in my life."

Jennifer is currently in a relationship with dancer Casper Smart, while Marc is still thought to be dating model Shannon De Lima.
