Ja Rule has made a controversial comment by claiming that prison is an amazing place.
The rapper is currently serving a two-year prison sentence after being found guilty of gun possession. He released an open letter towards the end of last year, revealing harrowing details of his time inside, including a fellow inmate trying to kill himself.
However, it seems Rule has grown accustomed to life on the inside and has even made some friends.
"Outside, you don't meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing," he told NYDailyNews.
Rule reveals that he has bonded with disgraced US politician Alan "Hevey D" Hevesi and business tycoon Dennis "Koz" Kozlowski.
"Koz just got out on work release. Not to say I wish he was still here. But they're both great, smart guys. I was studying for my GED and Koz came in and talked to me and said, if you need any help, let me know."
Rule is scheduled for release in February 2013.
