Ashley Cole is said to be "furious" with MC Harvey over his claims that he had a romance with his ex-wife Cheryl.

Former So Solid Crew member Harvey gave an interview earlier this week, claiming that they enjoyed a brief fling shortly after her divorce from the Chelsea footballer. The two then launched a Twitter tirade against each other, with Cheryl denying the allegations and Harvey claiming to have evidence of their intimate exchanges.

Now, Cheryl's cheating love rat ex-husband Ashley has told friends that he is less than pleased at Harvey's allegations as he knows Cheryl hasn't been with many men since their split.

"The guy is using Cheryl. He needs to back off right now," a source recalled to the Daily Star of what Ashley said.

"Ashley knows where Cheryl was and what she was doing. He knows exactly which men she hung out with and apart from Derek [Hough] and later Will.I.Am there was no one. He's furious Harvey is claiming he got close to her and feels it's just grabbing the limelight because he's out of the limelight."

Ashley's comments come as Cheryl is reportedly filing a lawsuit against Now magazine for publishing Harvey's interview.
