Jay-Z gave a couple of fans a shock last night when he appeared in their VIP box towards the end of his final show at the Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The rapper was performing the second and final show of his historic residence at the prestigious venue and decided to go out with a bang by giving some of his fans a pleasant surprise.

According to the New York Post's Page Six, Jigga left the stage towards the end of his set, only to reappear next to two of his fans in their private box.

"There were these two banker-looking dudes who Jay just kept pointing to all night, feeling their energy. So he just went up there. They were freaking out," an eyewitness told the website.

Jay then performed a medley of two of his hits standing on a seat before making his way back to the stage for the encore.

The rapper was joined by Alicia Keys and Nas for both the shows and was supported by wife Beyonce.
