Jennifer Hudson is reportedly being sought for questioning in the investigation over the murders of her family members.
The singer's world was turned upside in October 2008 when her mother, brother and nephew were found murdered in their family home. Her brother-in-law William Balfour was arrested and charged with the killings and is to be put to trial later this year.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, defence attorney Amy Thompson is hoping to speak with Jennifer prior to the hearing to discuss a series of text messages that were exchanged between herself and her mother Darnell Hudson Donnerson, shortly before the murders.
The trial is expected to last two to three weeks.
