Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles has gushed about her new granddaughter Blue Ivy, describing her as "beautiful."

Tina - who has a close relationship with Beyonce - has no doubt been helping her daughter settle into the role of becoming a mother and she has revealed for the first time, what it is like becoming a grandmother for a second time.

"She's doing great. She's beautiful," Tina told People magazine.

"It's the second best job I've ever had," she added in reference to being a grandmother.

Beyonce and husband Jay-Z welcomed their first child into the world on January 7 and Bey made her first outing since the birth earlier this week.
