Former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger followed the lead of some of music's biggest names in performing a live tribute to Whitney Houston last night - but perhaps she should've just released a thoughtful statement instead.

While on the Belgium leg of her Killer Love tour Nic decided to attempt an ill-advised cover of the notoriously tricky 'I Will Always Love You.'

Although her heart was in the right place ... maybe she should've tried to tackle something a little easier.

Jennifer Hudson gave a stunning performance of the same song at the Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday night.
