Alexandra Burke revealed to that she “dreads” discussing her personal relationships in interviews.

The ‘Elephant’ singer, writing for The Huffington Post UK, noted that while she’s of an open-minded disposition, she holds the relationship card very close to her chest.

“Sometimes I don't really want to talk about those things, that's a part of my life I like to keep to myself.” The X Factor starlet commented on the pressure the media spotlight places on high-profile relationships noting that “the moment that relationship stops and it breaks up, it's a huge news story.”

Despite advice from her mother Melissa Bell - former front-woman for British soul act Soul II Soul - warning her to remain “single for her fans”, the singer hoped that her relationship status wouldn’t have any bearing on her supporters.

“For me the whole relationship thing is just something that I'm putting on the backburner and something that will come later. I'm having far too much fun at the moment… a girl really can't complain.”
