Iron Man star Terrence Howard claims he has been blacklisted by Hollywood filmmakers since he was accused of domestic abuse by his estranged wife.
New papers filed in the divorce case between Howard and his ex Michelle Ghent say he has not received any "suitable offers" following Ghent filing a restraining order last December, citing the actor's violent abuse.
The 42-year-old has denied all allegations, saying: "I am gravely concerned that her actions have had an incredibly negative effect on my career and my ability to obtain future work as an actor."
Howard, who won a Best Picture Oscar with Crash in 2004, was accused of beating his ex just seven days after they were married back in January last year, chipping her tooth with his wedding ring and threatening to throw her of a balcony.
He has failed to find work since September 2011, following the abuse claims and only earned $60,000 on his last project - a far cry from the reported six-figure salary the actor made from comic blockbuster Iron Man just four years ago.
Howard was spotted drunkenly flirting with a series of women in St. Barts earlier this year, sparking fears he was heading into a downward spiral amidst the messy divorce.
