Video footage of a young Nicki Minaj before all the fame has surfaced on the internet, and, as you'd expect, it's a world away from the theatrics of her recent Grammy Awards performance.

Walking through her home town of Queens, NY in a simple flat cap, hood and leather jacket outfit, Nicki drops some a slick freestyle over Terror Squad's 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeah' before spitting bars a cappella.

"Nicki stay fly like that Cash Money do," says the young rapper in an unwitting reference to her future label. She also shows love to her now bitter enemy Lil Kim, spitting: "Who's your best emcees? Nicki, Fox and Kim!"
