Some of music's biggest names hit up the red carpet for the 2012 BRIT Awards in London last night.

Rihanna looked stunning in her £1000 designer gown which she later whipped off to perform her smash hit single 'We Found Love.' Jessie J was also a surprise of the night, leaving her usual thick war paint and multi-coloured wigs at home to transform into an elegant goddess.

Some were not so hot in the fashion stakes - Critics' Choice winner Emeli Sande turned up in an unflattering mumsy pinafore black dress teamed with equally clumpy shoes. 

So many other celebrities strutted down the red carpet including Roc Nation newcomer Rita Ora, Labrinth, two-time winner Adele, Alexandra Burke and more.
