Michelle Williams has addressed the backlash she received for not congratulating Beyonce on the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy.
When Bey and husband Jay-Z welcomed Blue Ivy into the world in January, most of their celebrity peers took to their Twitter accounts to send their congratulatory messages to the new parents.
However, two people who remained silent were Bey's former Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle and Kelly Rowland.
Michelle explained shortly after that she didn't want to write a message to Bey's Twitter account when she has never used it.
"That's crazy and I still think it's crazy," she told S2Smagazine.com at the BET Honors last month.
"Well, you know we're told to ignore people, but every now and then, you need to use the 140 characters Twitter gives you - but I think I used a little more than that. But I think they got the message that it's dumb to tweet someone who is not on Twitter that I was with the whole week," she said.
Do you agree with Michelle's sentiments?
