Brooklyn Beckham entered his teenage years in style, when Usher called the youngster to sing 'Happy Birthday.'

David and Victoria Beckham gave their eldest son Brooklyn, a birthday to remember when he was serenaded by his favourite popstar.

According to the DailyMail, a source close to the couple said: "Brooklyn was having a great morning sharing all of his presents with his little brothers. He's naturally quite shy and isn't one for courting attention, even on his birthday."

According to the source, the teenager who turned 13 on Sunday, had been opening his presents when David walked in the room and said that there was someone on the phone who wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday.

They went on to add: "Brooklyn had been getting calls from England all morning so just assumed it was another relative. When he picked up the phone, Usher sang 'Happy Birthday.' Brooklyn is crazy about Usher and has met him a few times. He went bright red and started to get really shy. He told his dad after that it was the best present ever".

Football ace David also treated his son to an LA Lakers game along with a spot of paintballing, while Victoria stayed at home to prepare a surprise birthday party.

The ex-Spice Girl, even tweeted a picture of the family dog, wearing a party hat.The 35-year-old wrote: "Coco is celebrating Brooklyn's 13th birthday!"
