Mariah Carey will no longer be starring in the film adaptation of Ntozakes Shange's 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf'.

Carey, who has recently enjoyed acting success with a role in the Oscar-winning film, 'Precious', has now sparked even more rumours that the she is pregnant, reports People.

The singer/actress recently celebrated her second anniversary with husband Nick Cannon.

Carey's spokeswoman, Cindi Berger was forced to respond to the speculation, she said: "I'm not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time."

The film, which is to be directed by Tyler Perry, was due to begin shooting next month.
