Bajan sensation Rihanna says she has learnt to be "fearless" in order for her survive in the ruthless music industry.
The 24-year-old singer, who is also gearing up for the release of her first movie, Battleship in May, revealed that she was naive when she first started out, but soon matured and is now more confident to trust her own instincts.
"It's really easy for me to zone out, get in my own world. I need to be really stern about the point I'm trying to make, even if not verbal," RiRi told LovePop magazine.
Movie goers will see the 24-year-old co-star alongside, Liam Neeson and Alexander Skarsgård, playing the role of a tough and daring marine officer. RiRi says playing this type of role has helped her become stronger against negativity and backlash.
"There is so much scrutiny and negativity. You need thick skin. I grew a set of balls that are very big. Ha ha!" she added.
