Oprah Winfrey is being awarded with a Minerva Award at this year's California Women's Conference, for her work with her Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa along with her Oprah Angel Network.
The event will take place on 26 October at the Women's Conference in Long Beach.
The awards, which will be presented by California First Lady Maria Shriver, honour women "who serve on the frontlines of humanity", says The Hollywood Reporter.
