JLS singer Oritse Williams put his own bodyguard in hospital yesterday, after accidentally shooting him in the throat during a paintballing trip.

Williams blasted a paint pellet into minder Gaz Batey's Adam's Apple at 200mph as the band played a match against their security team.

Batey was rushed to hospital after the accident, which left Williams 'devastated'. "Oritse is mad about paintball and prides himself on being the best," a friend told The Sun.

"He was devastated when he realised what had happened and he hasn't stopped apologising since."

The bodyguard was later given the all-clear from doctors - but is still unable to speak.

Unlucky JLS have been involved in a series of high-profile accidents recently, with Aston Merrygold being hospitalised himself after screwing up a backflip, weeks after nearly drowning on set at a music video shoot.
