Nicki Minaj has slammed the endless comparisons between herself and Lady Gaga.
In a recent interview with ABC's Nightlife, Nicki spoke out about those who compare her to the pop diva, and says that the comparisons "annoy" her.
The 'Starships' rapper, whose second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded debuted at number one in more than four countries, explained the comparisons saying: "Offends me, no. Irks me, yes. We are in completely different lanes."
She added: "First of all, I'm a rapper. I'm from southside Jamaica, Queens. I could say some really crazy lyrics right now, but I won't. Why don't I turn the cameras around and ask you?"
"So, you know, I really don't get the comparison anymore. Our music doesn't sound the same. Our stage presence is not the same. I just can't see the similarities."
When asked about their similar sense of eccentric fashion, the Young Money rapper became frustrated and quickly began defending her eye popping style, claiming "every female in this game wears wigs," and that her over the top costumes were just something out of the norm.
Later on the 'Beez In The Trap' rapper went on to explain that although the two are in two different leagues, she still has the utmost respect for Gaga, adding: "Gaga's a fantastic artist, you know, she paved her way. She's opened her own lane. But I think that I have my own lane, and we never cross. Ever."
